Questions regarding Hawaiian Snow Agave SyrupQ. What exactly is agave?A. Agave Nectar is an all natural organic liquid sweetener that comes from the Blue Agave plants in Mexico. It's very similar to a cactus. This sweetener is perfect for those of us that have blood sugar issues, want to avoid these kinds of issues in the future or just want to live a healthier lifestyle.
Q. How is agave and Splenda different?
A. We do carry Splenda sugar free syrups, however many of our customers complain about the chemical taste of the syrup. Agave not only does not have a chemical taste but also helps prolong the flavor taste on your tongue. Splenda itself is made from a mixture of chemicals as opposed to our organic agave nectar. Taste wise, you will notice that agave syrups have a bit honey like taste to it which is much better than that of Splenda.
Q. How is the texture of your agave syrups?A. A common problem with Splenda is the texture of the syrup. When making Splenda sugar free syrups, we would have to add a lot of thickeners to the syrup in order to replicate a similar thickness to that of a regular sugar syrup. Since the agave honey is by nature already thick, we do not have to use as much thickeners. This way we are able to replicate the same feel and appearance when poured on top of a shave ice when using our agave syrups.
