Can shave ice syrups be used to flavor coffee?

Postby sapphiretiger » Tue May 11, 2010 12:49 am

Hi-

I was just wondering if anyone knows what the differences are, if any, with the various syrups available to flavor items. For instance, I am planning to sell flavored coffee as well and didn't know if I could use the same syrups I would make for the shave ice to flavor coffee or would it be better to purchase the Torani products for coffee. And on the flip side-- can the Torani syrups be used to flavor shave ice? I would imagine this would be a more expensive option though.

Thanks for any advice you can offer. :-)

Hi, in our experience with torani coffee flavors, they do work quite well with shave ice however most people won't due to the high costs per bottle of the syrup. The mixture between shave ice syrup and coffee syrup is quite similar, but you may need to tweak it a bit to suit your tastes. Thanks
