Chocolate Condensed Milk

Brand new item! We are now carrying chocolate condensed milk for all you chocolate lovers. Field tested this weekend, we gave samples of it to clients on top of their shave ice and they loved it! Re: 2018 Season is a wrap!

Ice Clouds, congratz on the success! Your success means our products are doing it's job, and that makes us happy! For us here, we did pretty well. Introduction of new flavors and new cups helped our company promote new ideas to the industry. We also increased our social media presence. Back then, we...

Re: Kona Ice

We had a client do a event this past weekend and competed against a local Kona Ice vendor within a 200 foot distance. This is a 20,000 person event. The shave ice vendor beat the Kona Ice truck hands down when customers started comparing the two. From what our client said, Kona has much better expos...

Re: NEW KID on the block question, useful Vendor info

Katy, when we talking in the industry about "stealing" business is don't step on toes of other people in your area. If you are doing private events (which seems the case), then don't poach another shave ice caterers clients if they are already servicing them. Don't set up shop across the s...

Re: NEW KID on the block question, useful Vendor info

katyocru, Thanks for the helpful tips for the ice! I will definitely try it. I don't think there's rule against making my own. thanks for the heads up! I get the feeling there's some animosity from you guys towards Icy Skyy. It's kind of strange that this forum is targeting them. Being a startup bus...

Re: Newbe Question

Private events are fine without NSF approval since you do not need a health permit nor GE tax to do private (not for profit) functions. Some cities allow you to use the Fujimarca without NSF as well in California.

Re: NEW KID on the block question, useful Vendor info

Katy, check with your local health dept if they let you make your own blocks. Many do not and require you to buy from a ice company. I would normally recommend half gallon containers. Don't use glass! Plastic or metal is ideal. Don't open or close your freezer during freezing to prevent cracks and n...

Re: Newbe Question

Fujimarca as we put it is simply the best shaver out there. It's not cause we carry it, but we carried it for 30 years for that reason.

Re: Global bear v generic machines

Simply put, buy what you are comfortable with. Global Bear has a decent presence in Taiwan but not so much here in the America's since the type of shavers that most American's prefer is more "rugged". We have been approached by them before many times for distribution. We rejected each time...
