Open Daily?

Does anyone here do business daily? have a designated spot? We are trying it for the first time, and having a lot of success. What kind of money do you make a day? close when it rains? how many employees do you have working? Looking to see what others are doing!

Re: Finished Trailer

Thanks! Yes we ended up spraying the shell with a plastic paint, it peels off if you want the original shell back. We bought it used on eBay and it was a little discolored and didn't like the way it looked. So a $5.00 can of plastidip did the trick.

Re: Ice recommendations

If your Health Department allows it, get multiple freezers to freeze your blocks. When i first started i had about 7 freezers... hand me downs, Craigslist finds anything i could get my hands on. It can take up to 3 days to freeze a block properly (The slower you freeze it the better). Like Loopdan m...

Re: Snowie Block Ice or Southern Snow?

Yes, yes i do. I bought the snowie ice block shaver a couple months ago and just sold it on eBay a couple of weeks ago. The machine is super easy to use and i love that it can hold 10lb blocks but it made the worst shaved ice. It was more of a softer crunchy snow cone then shaved ice. I now just bre...

Re: Finished Trailer

The Health Department in my area also required smooth surfaces, but as i talked to them they told me they just put that in the rules but they are open to ideas. We brought up the diamond plate flooring and they were completely fine with it. Butcher Block they were also concerned about but once we sh...

Re: Finished Trailer

We did about 8 coats of a food grade sealer. after it was all dry we had a junk piece and i poured syrup and pure concentra...

Finished Trailer

Well after 3 months of daily work we finally finished our shave ice trailer. We bought this from Tennessee and completely gutted it and turned it into what you see below. We went a little over budget but love the way it turned out. IMG_20180520_141909[1].jpg IMG_20180520_141937[1].jpg IMG_20180519_2...

Do you have any pictures of your trailer inside and out? I just finished mine and like to see what others have done.

Re: First festival this weekend....tips

I'm not sure if your using block or cubed ice, but at our first event we didn't bring enough ice. Whatever you think you need, bring more! Good luck, wish you the most success!
