Re: ABOUT THE TRUCK
I just completed my shaved ice truck. It is a Nissan NV 2500 High Top and I believe it is 20 feet in length. It is large enough to have the sinks and all other equipment that the health department requires to be classified as a self sustained unit. It has a PA system, 4 outside televisions (for vid...

Re: Some shave ice toppings that you can offer
I like the idea of added toppings. I just have one question. I am about to start using a flavor station. And I want to charge extra for the toppings. How do I serve the ice. Let them put their own syrup on, and then have them come back for snow cap? Or maybe I should just shelve the idea of topping...

Re: Real story on Kona Ice?
I very routinely visit other people that sell shaved ice, in order to scope out the competition and get new ideas. That being said I have not found any ice cube shaver that I liked. The exception is the Snowie 3000. To be certain it is not as good as using a solid block of ice, but it is quite good....

Re: Real story on Kona Ice?
Craig, my wife and I will be at the Summit as well. I went to one a couple years ago and it was well worth the trip. They do have some great items to show. I bought a Satellite Cart that I was going to use for something but now am looking at placing it up on a busy college campus and letting one of ...

Clear and Sugar Free Flavors
Has anyone had success with either clear or sugar free flavors? If so, which ones would you recommend?

Re: Leaving syrup in my truck over night
Thanks for the reply. I was asking primarily for the times I have a multi day event out of town even scheduled. I definitely have options but just was not sure if the syrup would become unsafe. Since posting the question I had an expert confirm that there were no health concerns with it. That is wha...

If you are looking for home use I would recommend the Little Snowie 2. You can view it at Snowie.com.

Leaving syrup in my truck over night
At what temperature does shaved ice flavors go bad? Specifically, if I were to leave my syrup in my truck over night in the summer, how hot could the inside of the vehicle get before I would have to throw away the product?
