Hi everyone! I'm new to the Shave Ice industry and I just opened my first stand just a few days ago. I was approached by a a gentleman who is a General Manager for a Chain of Gym's and he asked me about coming to the grand opening of their pool which happens to fall on Memorial Day weekend. I'm not sure as to what kind of rate I should quote him to come out there for a day. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I would find out how many people he's expecting at his grand opening. If he expects a big crowd and you are the only shave ice vendor, you could make good money selling your product.

If he wants his customers to enjoy your shave ice at no cost to them, I would charge him by the hour and/or by the number of people he expects you to serve. If you can serve 100 people per hour and you normally charge $3 per shave ice, charge him $300 per hour.
