To all forum members , please be aware when purchasing concentrates from Icy Skyy. From what I know they are a new shave ice supplier on the net. Being located in California I was delighted to see that there was another local vendor in Southern California beside Real Hawaiian Ice where I usually pick stuff up for my catering business.

When I called them to do a will call and save on shipping, I was alarmed when the person who picked up refused to let me will call my order. I told them I would love to see their operation and perhaps use their flavors for my business. I had to make sure where I purchase from is legitimate company. To my dismay they would not let me into their store to visit. When they finally shipped their sample flavors to me, the flavors had no labeling of any sort such as ingredient list or usage. I called them again to ask about their company and flavors, they just gave me a run around. I didn't dare to try the flavor since I was not sure they were made properly. To make sure, I called the health department to see if this is a legit company and found out that they do NOT have health permits to sell flavors or food items. The health department advised me to not use the flavors until they have proper documentation.

I am posting this to help inform others to please do your due diligence when purchasing from a unknown online source. Icy Skyy is very new to the market and to sell without a permit is a concerning matter to myself and other reputable vendors.

Capitalist, thanks for letting the forum know.

Though we normally don't comment on other vendors, we certainly do not understand why new business's would try to go such routes. Most of the vendors in the US has been around for at least a decade and pretty much understand the business and how important customer care/service is.

If Icy Skyy does not have proper permits or is operating out of their basement moon lighting flavors, I would not advise to purchase from them.

Thanks for the heads up, I tried ordering from their website and noticed no flavors are available for purchase and now I know why!

Also be aware that they filter their reviews to only show positive ones. After I read this post last week I attempted to leave a poor review warning others of their poor sanitation practices and it was not posted!

This is very good information! Thank you for putting in the work for all of us. I saw them on Google Ads while searching for shave ice supplies but was hesitant to make my purchase with them. When I went back to their site, I noticed all of their flavors are out of stock. That looks too suspicious to me. No more searching for "deals" online for me. I'll just stick to the more reputable companies (HTK and 1800) that I can trust and count on.

I also don't like companies who can't stand behind their products. No consumers should have to go through the BS Capitalist had to go through with them.

I've always been using HTK as my main vendor and Real Hawaiian Ice since they are the closest to me in Los Angles, I needed items FAST!! They always come through! But recently, I also found Icy Skyy from a google search so I can extend my flavor list! (over 30 flavors and still want more!!) , However I'm glad I read this information being shared on here! I did notice all their flavors are out of stock! WTH! How can a flavor company be out of stock during this peak season..But now I know why from reading information on here. I also tried to call them myself to make sure they are legit and guess what guys? They said the same exact cookie cutter excuse to me and not letting me view their show rooms!!!! How can a real business do that! I visited Hawaiian Snow in Hawaii and their Nevada branch no problem! I also went to meet Jerry (owner) at Real Hawaiian Ice. All those owners didn't have any problem letting me in! For sure I am not buying any flavors from this company even if it was cheaper! I won't put my customers at risk selling them unknown productS!!

Very valuable information being shared on here. I just looked up their website on google and it does seem to be sold out of every single flavor in all sizes. That would also make me question it's reliability and legitimacy. I probably wouldn't buy from there either if I just started my business. Flavor quality should be the number 1 concern for all of us here that is trying to start or already selling since it's being consumed. Don't want someone getting sick and end up being sued for it...You can probably go cheaper route with other things, but flavors? Always be careful guys!
I love Shave Ice, period. :D

Icy Skyy is trying to make a quick buck at our expense. This company is despicable. I wish nothing more than for them to fail miserably.

Aloha IceMee,
Our forum was created for shave ice vendors to share their experience and knowledge for shave ice. Capitalist kindly shared his negative experience with Icy Skyy so we can all be more aware of where our products are coming from. If you had a better experience with that company, feel free to create a new thread.

Please contain your imaginations before making false accusations. We want to maintain a friendly environment for all users to benefit. Thank you.

IceMee : This is not slander since nothing was "spoken". This is also not libel since the original user is posting a "fact" to warn the general public as oppose to creating falsified information. I contacted him myself to verify this or I would have deleted this thread.

This post is not created by HTK's owner. Why? I am the owner and I don't have to use that facade on my domain.

If Capitalist's statement is FALSE, then please let us know and I will act accordingly to forum policies. One of the mods can assist you with that.

Otherwise, please remember that this shave ice forum has been around for years and is the property of HTK Hawaii. We know what we are doing in dealing with false information and trouble makers.

By the way, welcome to the board. Care to share your name and experiences in the introduction page?
