We are brand new & just purchasing our 1st machine. We found a used Hatsuyki HF-500 for only $900, but we were planning on getting the Swan SI-100E. My question is there that much difference between the two machines? IS it worth it go go ahead and pay $1000 more & get the Swan? Please someone help, we need to make this decision ASAP. We will be operating out of a food trailer & anticipate a few events with very large crowds.

If I was in your situation and

"IF" everything checks out on the HF-500E with no issues or faulty brakes/gears, etc.

I would jump on that deal for $900.00.

Retail is around $2200.00 with shipping I believe? That's what I see online at some shave ice stores.

However! I urge you to check the machine carefully by opening up the top cover for any obvious signs of worn out stuffs before you buy it like tons of metal shaving all over the place, gears are banging each other, or excessive loud noise when turned on.

Best of luck :D
I love Shave Ice, period. :D
