Last week I was at the event and the snowie block ice shaver broken. Look at the photos. That peice of part could be on my face or my employee’s

It will cost me over $200 to replace it.

Sorry for your misfortune and thanks for the heads up about Snowie's equipment.
May season starts this Saturday and I'm excited to get back!

Yikes! Glad nobody got hurt.

It will take up more space, but the Hansen-style (New Orleans) block ice shavers are just as fast as the Snowie, less expensive, and have a proven track record going back to the 1930s. There are several brands making these: Southern Snow, Gold Medal, etc.

That is crazy! Is that the gear piece? I'm glad everyone was okay, machine can always be replaced. :o

I've always trusted my Fujimarcas. They are pretty much bullet proof and workhorse for me.
I love Shave Ice, period. :D
