This will be a tutorial on how to cook tapioca pearls that you can use to make bubble tea.
Total cook time: ~ 1 hour

Step 1.) Using a pot, boil water to boiling point.
Step 2.) Once the water boils, add tapioca. Stir occasionally. Boil on high heat for 3 minutes then lower to low heat.
Step 3.) Cook on low heat for 20 minutes, turn off heat and steam (with lid on) for another 20 minutes.
Step 4.) After 20 minutes, remove tapioca from pot and strain with cold water to cool down.
Step 5.) Place tapioca in simple syrup to soak. Remember to stir often so the tapioca balls do not stick together.

Do not refrigerate, use within 8 hours for optimal taste and texture.

Thanks for sharing. Tapioca Pearls are a little tricky to cook to get the right consistency. Thanks for the recipe. :D

This is a little old- but does anyone offer Boba pearls as a topping to their Shave Ice? Where do you order your supplies? I'm thinking of doing so and wanted to hear others experiences. Thanks :)

We use to carry this item. You can usually find it online, however make sure they are fresh. The tapioca balls are easy to make but have a very short shelf life
